ABOUT ME
Hello, thank you so much for coming to my website and having a little look around!
I'm Sabrina Hines and I'm currently a third year Music Performance and Production student from Leeds Beckett University, but I'm originally from London.

Weirdly I was meant to go to Portsmouth University to do maths, but I took a year out in between A Levels to go back to college to do a year studying music so I could follow my dreams of working in music, trying to be my own artist. Whilst studying, I've also found that I love the industry side of music, so I'm exploring that and getting real world experience by working with ALLORA! I've not received much formal training, but I have the passion, the drive and the determination, and I'm trying my absolute hardest.

Music has my heart. Music gets me through everything. Music gives me soul, and energy, it makes me laugh, and cry, and honestly I could not live without it.
ABOUT MY MUSIC
I'm always striving to create music which I love to listen to; music which is authentic, tells a story, connects to you, has emotion and meaning. Music like this has gotten me through a lot of rough times, but also reminds of a lot of good memories, and I want to create that for other people. The connection that music creates with people drives me everyday, every time I song-write, every time i listen to music. This is what my music is trying to encompass.

I take great inspiration from my favourite singer-songwriters; Marina, Lorde, Lily Allen, Lapsley, SG Lewis, Florence and the Machine, Sigrid and Billie Eilish to name a few. I guess then, you could put my music under the 'synthpop' genre, which I'm completely happy to be under. I have also created EDM music, which is another great love of mine, especially house music. Any club night with house music and I am THERE.

As well as creating full on songs, I'm trying to develop my artistry, and my lyrical writing, so pop over to the SABS tab to see everything that's going on. There's a lyric sections, a music section, and a promotional section, there's lots going on and lots coming soon!
ABOUT THE SITE

As I've slightly mentioned above, there are multiple sections to this site. This website is an online portfolio of my skills and interests as a musician and a music industry professional. I'm currently exploring all of the parts of music which I love, which excites me, which I want to develop my skills in. This ranges from the industry side of things (such as marketing and promotion) to my own artistic development as a singer-songwriter-producer.

There are three major sections in total.
One is a blog section, which has week-to-week updates on what I've done, what's going on behind the scenes, and mentions how all of my work is progressing. This blog also has an article section, which will have a post everyone one to two weeks, and is about anything which interests me within music, whether that is about the industry, or about musicians, current music, gigs etc.
The second section is about the band ALLORA which I am currently working with, I am helping them with their promotion and social media. In this section you can see all the work we're doing together.
Finally, last but not least, we have my own artist section, SABS. This is where anything related to myself as an artist can be found. It contains lyric sections, where I'm aiming to post every week to two weeks, a collection of new lyrics, a song section, where I will post new songs, and a promotional section for all the work I've been doing.
